Here is what our customers say about La Casita Gastown:

David Griffiths "I work in the neighbourhood, so it's a popular lunch spot, esp on a Friday afternoon. I usually get the specials for lunch, and they've never disappointed. I went there with my wife for dinner one night before a concert, and it was also great. The food is good, the service is friendly, and we've never had a long wait."

nudie foodie "My boyfriend and I were really hungry and wanting to check out this La Casita we keep hearing about from our friends. We walked down to the corner of W. Cordova and Abbott and I knew from a distance that we were at the right place. Totally cool decor. The place is just alive and glowing. Really felt like Mexico! I absolutely LOVED IT! I'm a pretty picky eater, but when I like what I'm eating, I can seriously throw down! La Casita is definitely a place to go when you're hungry. I left absolutely stuffed and happy! The portions were huge and the price was right. I thought it was cute how we were surrounded by all different kinds of people: some families with young children in highchairs, some young couples sharing appies and a huge fishbowl margarita in a cool glass, elderly ladies having a girls' lunch, and a table of guys eating nachos and drinking beer. Everyone was having a blast!!"

James Parker "I went to La Casita on Halloween Margarita Monday. My friends dragged me to La Casita. I didn't feel like Mexican food, but the prices were awesome and we are all broke so we went. All I can say is WOW!!! Not only were the margs freakin delicious, but the food was a huge hit too. I couldn't believe the portion size and my tacos were so good that I went back on Tuesday. The best news is that it's not just a Halloween thing, but it's every Monday! WOOHOO! I'll definitely be back...probably on a Monday :)"

DaveenB "I have been going to La Casita for 7 years and every visit I have had truly wonderful service, the food has been great and every customer is treated as a friend. Caz is a super owner and keeps a watchful eye on the bar and floor service. All the ingredients are fresh and the 2 sauces served with complimentary chips are awesome. I especially like the green salsa. I always order the chicken tostada and have never been disappointed. I can't comment on the bar, but I do know the wine is always cold. The value for your money is great. Portions are plentiful and there always is a vegetarian special. The decor and ambiance remind you of a small cantina in Mexico, I expecially like the black and white old Mexican movies."

Kez M. This is honestly the best Mexican food I've eaten so far in Vancouver, and I have tried many places. The restaurant itself is decorated in the style which you would associate with a little family run Mexican canteen, with a Tv over the bar showing some kind of ancient bandito movie complete with Luchadores. The staff were friendly and pretty quick to take our orders. The food was fantastic, and came out in about 5 minutes flat. I got the burritos, which were delicious, stuffed with beans and a very delicious type of melted cheese. There was a delightful little salad on the side, and yummy Mexican rice too. It was a touch on the small side, and I was tempted to order another entree (It was really good, okay!). My partner and I also shared the Margarita for 3, and this thing is no joke. We got the mango flavor, and it tasted like it was made with some form of real mango juice, not just syrup. It's served in the most ridiculously large fishbowl-style glass I've ever seen. It was delicious too, although I wouldn't recommend attempting to chug it - the brain freeze was pretty painful. I will definitely be back!
