Established in 1995, Miss Chinese Vancouver (MCVP) and Toronto Pageants (MCTP) are Canada’s most recognized and prestigious Pageant events hosted in Vancouver and Toronto, cities with the most concentrated Chinese population in Canada. Each year the 1st place winners of the cities will represent Fairchild to compete in Miss Chinese International Pageant. Organized by HK-TVB, Miss Chinese International Pageant gathers the most stunning individuals from around the world to compete for the winning title of one of the world’s most celebrated Pageant events. In the past years, the amazing platform has helped many achieve their dreams and cultivated many winners of both Miss Chinese Vancouver and Miss Chinese Toronto Pageants. These extraordinary individuals include MCT Monica Lo 1996/1997), MCV Bernice Liu (2000/2001), MCV Shirley Zhou (2001/2002), MCV Linda Chung (2003/2004), MCV Leanne Li (2004/2005), MCT Christine Kuo (2008/ 2009), MCV Eliza Sam (2009/2010) and MCV Gloria Tang (2012/2013). Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant winner 2004 Lena Ma was the first Chinese to be crowned Miss World Canada 2009 and subsequently captured the title of 4th runner up in the Miss World Pageant contest. These remarkable records reinforce the high standard of Miss Chinese Vancouver and Toronto Pageants and also substantiate the recognition of both Pageants on a global status.
