Review on La Casita Gastown by John Rudolph

The food is decent to outstanding depending on the menu item. I wouldl eat here again and avoid items that contain chicken as there was a serious rosemary favour in the chicken that overpowered other tastes. Guacamole was bland. Everything else was absolutely decent with the tortilla soup and huevos rencheros getting a wow vote. Service is friendly but you can tell that the place does not have service targets like x minutes to chips on the table etc.. This is a training issue and if you are OK with that the place is worth a visit. I can see why people that order certain items would make this a favorite place.

Went for a very late lunch after a long mountain hike. The salsa and guacamole that comes with the chips were delicious and that was just the beginning. Enchiladas were great and my son's nachos with a cheese sauce was so good. Probably the least expensive meal we've had in Vancouver but absolutely one of the best.
